Under the Fair Credit Reporting, Credit Reporting Agencies have a duty to provide complete and accurate information. When a consumer disputes the completeness or accuracy of information on a furnished report, the furnisher of that report must investigate the disputed information, report findings to the Credit Reporting Agency (CRA), provide corrected information to every CRA that received incomplete or inaccurate, and modify, delete, or block the infomarmation (FCRA 623(b)(1).
